Greetings Glass Lovers! We'll be changing things up in this Mixed Media Mosaic Heart project in that it'll be VERY Different from what you've created in the other Mosaic events we've attended! :-) In this Fun & Relaxing class, you'll be learning a *New* way to start a mosaic piece using a New & different base, applying EASY hangers, different types of adhesion techniques for indoor or outdoor hanging, incorporating ALL KINDS of Glass Beads, fused glass cabochons, metal beads, charms, found objects, ceramic, shells, broken plates, word or letter squares, whatever has a flat bottom surface, etc. into your Mixed Media Mosaic Heart project! Lastly You'll learn about grouting options. :-D This class will be held in my Home Studio.
You'll be bringing & using whatever objects you'd like to incorporate into your Heart, PLUS you'll receive a Bag of Red Glass to start off with, and there will be More glass available in the class, to make your Heart a Very unique one! :-D
You can also choose to just Create a Heart Mosaic out of glass, minus the Mixed Media.
The Heart base is approx. 12" wide x 11" long. You will receive the base, quality metal hangers (to apply) if you'd like to hang your piece (VERY EASY), and a bag of nice red glass to cut & use in your creation (then take home w/you whatever red glass is unused). :-) You'll also need to bring a Wheeled Nipper for cutting up glass pieces to include in your project, especially if you want to do unusual cuts. I have a few Glass Nippers to share, but this tool is very different from Wheeled Nippers.
In this class... We'll be creating on a flat surface, maybe a mirror or you can create a picture, or an abstract piece... depending on how you plan your piece w/your ideas! :-) Class Cost includes all misc glass mentioned above, Instruction, Supplies, Tools for this FUN Heart Mosaic!
