CREATE: CIRCLES WITH A TWIST! 3 HOURS - GLASS CUTTING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! (DATE & TIME SET WHEN REGISTRATION RECEIVED)
In this Class, Students will learn different ways to create & cut glass circles for their Circles Display Plate! It's the perfect class for those who are comfortable cutting circles. GLASS CUTTING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! You'll also learn to use a Grinder & a Ring Saw; the Ring Saw if Student would like to cut out a shape to be included in your display plate! Or Create a different centerpiece! Think of some fun colors to Circle cut & an interesting simple shape! Students will be doing A LOT of snipping, glass cutting, and grinding for this project. Create: A Colorful 7-panel Wind Chime! 4 Hours. Glass Cutting Skills Very Helpful.
In this class, each student will enjoy creating a 7-panel Windchime similar to the 2nd picture. Sooo Colorful in your Garden or Lanai! Each student will choose their own colors of glass to cut their panels, then decorate them after with a variety of contrasting colored glass. Students should know how to CUT Glass, as this Class requires the Student to Measure & Cut their own Glass for this project. Tinkling hanging glass will also be created in class unless you have some pieces to bring in that would be fun to hang. Class Cost includes All Materials, Tools, Instruction, (1) Firing of the top portion, and (1) firing of all the hanging glass. **If Student would prefer to create a 10-panel Windchime (similar to the 1st picture), additional class time & cost will incur. Create: A Glass Votive; 2.5 hrs. All Levels Invited. (DATE & TIME SCHEDULED WHEN REGISTRATION RECEIVED)
Students enjoy cutting glass then combining all sorts of colorful & pretty fusible glass to create a Glass Votive! This Glass art votive can be used for a variety of items, not just a votive! Creating with Fiberboard! 3.5 hrs. (DATE & TIME SET WHEN REGISTRATION RECEIVED!)
Students will learn about the different Fiberboards available to use for fusing & firing purposes. Students will create a unique fused glass project using one of the Fiberboards. Students will bring home several board samples + materials to play with at home (in their own kiln) or can bring back to be fired in my kiln for an add'l. fee. CREATE: Paint w/Glass Hanging or (2) Ornaments; 4 Hours (DATE & TIME SET WHEN REGISTRATION RECEIVED)
In this class, Students will enjoy choosing any type of provided themed design or other designs to create either (2) Paint w/Glass Ornaments (4" round ea.) OR (1) Hanging Picture (6-7" round-as shown). There will only be enough time to create one or the other. Students will be using Glass Paint and Glass Frit (little pieces of glass) to create their projects. This is a simple technique, but one that requires time and detail. Knowledge/Experience of Painting or Drawing Unnecessary. All materials, tools, instruction, and (1) firing is included w/class cost.
