In this two-day workshop, you will create a 6"x6" double-sided fused glass mosaic with lots of depth and dimension! This class combines the techniques of mosaics with fused glass by layering and stacking the glass, and firing twice to produce a unique thick piece of art. Students will be provided with a variety of patterns to choose from and shown several ways to cut glass into small tesserae or glass tiles. We will cover design considerations, the andamento or visual flow, and placement of the tesserae to complement your design. Some portions of the design will be elevated using fiber paper to give the project added dimension. Please BRING Wheeled Nippers to class!
