Create: A Turtle Shell Display / Tray; 6-8 hrs. Class #1: Saturday, May 3, 2025; 2-5/6p. ONE SPOT LEFT!
In this Class, Students will create a Turtle Shell Display/Tray, using glass frit (little pieces of glass) available in many pretty colors (not necessarily the colors shown), and in Transparent or Opal glass. (More Pics coming soon). For the average student, a project such as this takes approx. 6-8 hours to complete; the second day to finish will be scheduled in 1st class.
No previous Glass experience needed; Minimal Glass Cutting. Perfect class for most ages 16+. A textured ceramic casting mold is used for each choice. A specific set of tools to use for Glass Frit application are offered separately for $20. Materials (glass, basic tools), Instruction, and (1) firing included with Class Cost. Class includes the project be fired as a Display/Tray. If Student would like it slumped into a Curved Plate, add'l. fee required. Additional time needed to complete (beyond normal class time of 6-8 hrs) will incur additional hourly fee. Directions...
