Students will enjoy learning to create a mold for their Holly Plate, then using Frit (little pieces of glass in various sizes) and Stringers, they will create Holly & Berries. CREATE: A LAYERED CHRISTMAS TREE! 4.5 Hours. (DATE & TIME SCHEDULED WHEN REGISTRATION RECEIVED)
Students will enjoy using their measuring & scoring skills to prepare the glass for this beautiful Christmas Tree topped with a glass Star, and decorated with Glass "Ornaments" the Student can create or not. Glass Cutting Skills Required! This Tree is NOT Fired, however the glass "ornaments" are. The Tree will be created in first class, then the Student can return back to either create the “ornaments” or use what’s available & apply to their tree. (Please indicate Ornaments preference in Note section when checking out - to Create or not.) Three different tree colors available: Dark Green, Olive Green, and Iridescent White (w/colors of pink & green within the glass); Note: Glass colors may change. CREATE: HOLIDAY ORNAMENTS! 2.5 Hours. (DATE & TIME SET WHEN REGISTRATION RECEIVED)
Create keepsake Holiday Ornaments for the Season! Students will be using a variety of fusible glass and fun glass additions to create their holiday Ornaments (for any denomination). Students may create an Ornament based on One of (2) methods: 1) Use specific "Fun Shapes" to decorate; OR 2) Cutting pieces of glass & arranging into an Ornament. Large-sized Ornaments above 3.5" requires an add'l. fee. Comfort w/glass cutting suggested; but not necessary. Class entails: Lecture + Creative time. All materials, firing, instruction, & tools included in class cost. Additional Ornament creation will incur an additional fee. 3 Hours. Create: A Christmas Tree! 3 or 5 Hours Required Depending on Size Chosen (All Levels Invited) $62-104 (DATE SET WHEN REGISTRATION RECEIVED)
These beautiful & NEW glass Christmas Trees (in Small or Large) will be created with glass Frit (Frit = very small pieces of glass) in either a Small or Large size, and in whatever colors each Student desires. No previous Glass experience needed. Perfect class for most ages - 16+. When using finer pieces of frit, an N-95 DUST MASK is Required. A textured ceramic casting mold in the shapes of the the Small & Large Pine Tree or Large Fir Tree (pictured in White) is used. A set of tools to use for Glass Frit application are offered separately for $20.
Generally, the Small Tree will take Students 3 hours to complete ; and the Large Trees can take 5 hours to complete. The Large Pine Tree completion hours can be split up & completed in 2 days. If Student doesn't finish in first class, they are welcome to come back to Studio to work on the next Scheduled Day for completion (if Student goes over the 3 or 5 hrs, an add'l. hourly fee is charged) OR they can use the whole 5 hours to create their Tree. All 3 Tree options are shown, Pines (in green) & Fir (shown in white)
It's Student's Choice on Colors (besides those pictured; confirm w/Instructor Color Availability PRIOR TO coming to Class). However, White is only available in small quantities and to use as accents on trees, especially large trees. (2) Firings are included for each Tree.

These Trees are also shown on a ceramic Stand w/a Light Bulb... this ceramic Stand w/Light Bulb is Available Separately & can be painted to match your Tree. Create: A Christmas Ornament! 2 Hours. (DATE SCHEDULED WHEN REGISTRATION RECEIVED)
Students will enjoy creating a Christmas/Holiday Ornament in a chosen color(s) using a variety of small glass pieces (Frit); No glass cutting. Students will learn how to create the mold for the ornament, then arrange glass within. A Christmas Ornament can include either a Traditional Ball (shown), a Bell (shown), a Holiday Bird/Partridge (shown), Mitten, Bending Tree (New!), Star (New!), a Gnome (New!).
